The video camera does not power on or is not recognised when plugged into my laptop. Following online research, many people with similar problem suggested replacing the battery (internal lithium). I found a replacement and changed it following instructions from an online video but it still doesn't power on, even after charging it for several hours.
It still isn't recognised by my laptop when plugged in to the usb port so I can not retrieve any videos that were on the device when last used. I really only want to get the videos off the camera because my wife believes there is one of her mam on there shortly before she sadly passed away. There is no memory card in the device for storing videos so they must be held internally in some other way. If you could fix the camera so it is recognised by a laptop or even just get at any videos on there to send I would be very grateful.
