    Hi,
    Are you able to diagnose/repair the board from an 80's arcade machine?

    It's from a Gauntlet machine. It has had some modifications added (a
    40 pin DIL socket), but was working normally with the modification in
    place.
    It partially runs, but just produces garbage graphics.
    Research I've done indicates the most common issue is breaks in the
    ROM socket joints or legs due to frequent replacement of the ROM
    chips. I've resoldered the sockets, but it hasn't fixed the issue, and
    I don't have the equipment or expertise to go further.
    I have the original Schematics book for the board.

    I also have a 2nd identical board, which has never worked since I've
    had it, but could be useful for cross-testing purposes.

    Ideally, I'd like to end up with both boards working. One working
    would be great though.
