This is a high hat controller pedal from a Carlsbro CSD200/ADD501 electronic drum kit. The controller pedal has suddenly stopped working. I am not 100% sure whether its the controller pedal or the drum kit module. I can get the module to react by holding the different sections of the 3 section headphone type plug that plugs into the pedal, so am assuming that the main module is ok. I have disassembled the foot pedal but cannot see anything obviously amiss so have come to the conclusion that the small PCB is the most likely culprit.
The set up is simple by the looks of it, there is 4 pressure type sensors which the foot pedal press against depending on how far you depress the pedal, a 5 connection (1 per sensor + a common) lead connecting to a small PCB with half a dozen diodes and the female audio plug soldered to it. I cannot see any obvious marks or burns on the PCB, but I don't have the means or knowledge to test it properly.

The damage to be repaired ie a crazed screen was correctly described so the cost of the part and time element would have been available before quoting. Was greeted by a very pleasant and extremely helpful member of staff. He explained what they would do, what I would need to do and if I wanted to go ahead with the repair I could pay in person as he was aware of my computer situation.
On collection I was greeted by Norbert the very pleasant staff member again who handed me the headphones in a protective case. I was absolutely overjoyed. I thought they were beyond being fixed. How wrong could I be. They're definitely as good as new. -

I broke my Bose headphones trying to fit new ear cushions which proved impossible for me to fit. I found Electronic Partners … read more details online and contacted them. They paid for the postage of my headphones to them, assessed the damage and gave me a very reasonable quote to repair them. They fixed the damage and also fitted the ear cushions for me, then returned the headphones in perfect working order. They even offered me a one year warranty for their work which I took out for £10.
All in all a very professional and helpful service and gave me my much loved headphones back with new ear cushions and working perfectly. So much cheaper than buying a new pair. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
