Symptoms are that I have continuity between the +ve and -ve terminals (circled in the photo, attached), so that whenever I connect the 12V battery, it sparks and draws a large current (blowing the inline 30A fuse).
I suspect a failed component on the board – possibly some sort of capacity/transistor? Apologies for my lack of technical knowledge! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thanks,

On collection I was greeted by Norbert the very pleasant staff member again who handed me the headphones in a protective case. I was absolutely overjoyed. I thought they were beyond being fixed. How wrong could I be. They're definitely as good as new. -

They fixed the damage and also fitted the ear cushions for me, then returned the headphones in perfect working order. They even offered me a one year warranty for their work which I took out for £10.
All in all a very professional and helpful service and gave me my much loved headphones back with new ear cushions and working perfectly. So much cheaper than buying a new pair. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
