I have two units with the exact same problem. Both DS1815+ will not power on. Both already have the 100 ohm resistor fix applied. Both have been tested with a short between the green and black wires (due to a likely Q4 transistor failure) and I can get as far as a flashing power light. I have ruled out the memory as the cause of the problem. I have tested the resistor which was already applied to these boards and they show as 100 ohm. The1k ohm fix has not been applied to either but I believe that the wire short should allow the boot. These were purchased thinking that I could apply the 100 ohm resistor fix and both initially worked when I applied the short to ground fix between green and black wires from the PSU. Note that while one board is immaculate the second board had extensive liquid damage and I had removed much internal corrosion by hand before powering on.
