I do not know what is the problem exactly. This is the exact state of the phone now:
– The screen does not turn on no matter what: double tap, press power button, hold power button, etc
– When the phone is plugged in, the Led light is still on as it would be if it is charging.
– Shortly after the problem occurred, when holding power button for about 15-20 seconds, the phone would vibrate as if it is turning on/off. There is no response whatsoever now.
I have taken the phone to a couple of phone repair stores. One of them said that the problem is probably the screen, while the rest is not sure. Also, there was no impact whatsoever on the phone at or shortly before the time the problem occurred. I was browsing web by the phone until it suddenly stopped for a second and then (seemingly) turned off.

As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
