    Sim card not detected. Been a problem for months now and have done everything suggested on every related asus-forum thread and article.
    Removed any dodgy apps.
    Cleared app and system cache.
    Rooted the phone.
    None worked so finally factory reset the entire phone, and yet problem still occurs.
    The sim card isn't the issue. I've put mine in a friends and works fine. I put theirs in mine and it's not detected.
    Gave it to a shop that cleaned all the connectors to the sim card reader board and the phone works for a day. They same issue returns.
    Some damage can be seen in the pins for the flex cable that connects to the reader board, so a new board (with the reader and aux) and a flex cable is ordered.
    After all that, the issue still persisted. Really gutted and not sure what to do now, which is why I'm reaching out. Would be grateful if I could have some advice, if this is a problem you've come across and have a working solution.
