Phone loses charge when plugged in to charger (e.g. 24%-1% in two hours)or charges very slowly (1%-51% in 15 hours), and only if the charging cable is pressed heavily towards the back of the phone. The charger socket has always been a fairly loose fit and not worked well with all cables.
Happens with original battery and brand new replacement battery, and with up to three different chargers and four USB cables (some of which do nothing at all, i.e. either no charge is received, or the phone says charging but the battery level does not rise).

All postal requirements were sent over and in the event the service was quick and painless and given notification of its safe arrival. As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
