Phone was run over by a vehicle. Top part of screen cracked.
So the phone thinks the top part of the screen is blocked (because it can't see through the fractured area) so it locks the phone "to prevent incorrect operation". However…
On startup the internals of the phone seem to work (I can see notifications etc) but the Touch-screen functionality does not work.
So it's probably just a screen replacement (and that's all I'd want done – any more would be uneconomical to repair).

Instructions on how to proceed were clear & easy to follow, and upon deciding to go ahead I was provided with a shipping label etc. Upon receipt of my headphones a final quote for work required was provided and an estimate of date of return. My headphones were shipped back to me fully repaired and 2 days ahead of original schedule.
