The screen lifted of near the power button. Water entered and the volume down button stopped working. Followied Sony support instructions to revive the tablet. Tablet will not come out of safe mode. Screen is fine. Everything except vol down button works fine.
Sent to sony repair center. Gave me an invoice for the repair and then declined to repair it. Parts they listed were volume and power buttons plus new glue/seal for the screen.

As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
