My beloved retro Ferguson TV works for 10 minutes or sometimes more, then the screen goes blank, a sort of magenta colour. I replaced the H/V deflection IC a few months ago to correct a different fault where I soldered a socket to the board for the IC to go into because I was worried about damaging the IC with heat from my soldering iron, and I also put a heatsink on top of the chip to help protect it from overheating, though it needs fitting properly as it just has some thermal grease holding it in place currently, but I don't think that's related to this problem? I think there are dry joints or a fractured track on the PCB, as it will intermittently work if I gently lift the PCB from the corner. I have a video of this I can send you if it helps? I tried resoldering some of the dry-looking joints around the board but it hasn't made it any better – or worse. I'm hoping you will have the tools and expertise to test and fix my beloved TV? I'm not worried about the cost of the repair, I'm well aware it is likely to cost more than a new TV, but a modern TV won't work well with my old games like my beloved old Ferguson TV which my parents bought me when I was a child, some 25 years ago!

Was greeted by a very pleasant and extremely helpful member of staff. He explained what they would do, what I would need to do and if I wanted to go ahead with the repair I could pay in person as he was aware of my computer situation.
On collection I was greeted by Norbert the very pleasant staff member again who handed me the headphones in a protective case. I was absolutely overjoyed. I thought they were beyond being fixed. How wrong could I be. They're definitely as good as new. -

I broke my Bose headphones trying to fit new ear cushions which proved impossible for me to fit. I found Electronic Partners … read more details online and contacted them. They paid for the postage of my headphones to them, assessed the damage and gave me a very reasonable quote to repair them. They fixed the damage and also fitted the ear cushions for me, then returned the headphones in perfect working order. They even offered me a one year warranty for their work which I took out for £10.
All in all a very professional and helpful service and gave me my much loved headphones back with new ear cushions and working perfectly. So much cheaper than buying a new pair. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future. -

I thought my cherised 1970's Hitachi Music Centre was beyond repair until I found on Google Electronic Partners in Telford. … read more They restored it completely and replaced the woofer in both speakers, I couldn't have been more delighted. They kept me informed throughout advising me of part's required and costs which I paid as and when needed which was far better then being presented with a large bill at the end.
