    The screen only displays a black picture when switched on. The is an obvious brightness difference to when it's switched off completely and plugged in, but no start up logo appears as it would normally, just a black/dark backlit "picture"/screen.

    No sound is emitted and there seems to be no reception/connection with the remote. I have changed the batteries and tried the built in toggle remote on the back of the set and nothing happens. No menus or content shows, nor can you see anything faintly if you stand close or shine a light on the screen.

    The first issue was that when I switched it on, the picture displayed upside down and back to front. Then a pop-up appeared (same orientation) saying to search for or action any updates. I didn't do this as it was hard to read the navigation in this display. I switched the set off at the wall and then waited to switch back on. This time, just the mild backlight blackness and nothing else which has been described.

    The set was purchased Feb 2018. We did have it repaired before when the backlighting stopped, but this doesn't appear to be the same problem as you can see light shines through, but not picture/content is being displayed.
