New Surface hardware is expected to be announced on 22 September, but you’ll be hard-pressed to find this sort of value on any of Microsoft’s next-gen devices.
The Surface Pro 7 – still the company’s latest flagship 2-in-1 – is now available for as little as £639 at Amazon. That’s among the lowest prices it’s ever been, slashing a fifth of the regular asking price.
However, the big discounts don’t end there. In fact, you can currently get 20% off every single Surface Pro 7 configuration at Amazon. If you’re shopping at the high-end, that means £370 off an Intel Core i7 model with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD.

Despite a wave of recent discounts, the Surface Pro 7 usually holds its value well. Microsoft is still selling the premium model above for its full £1,849 RRP, while the cheapest variant is priced at £709. At Currys, limited stock means you’ll now pay at least £899.
It’s easy to see why. The Surface Pro 7 might be nearly two years old, but it remains one of the finest 2-in-1 devices you can buy. We’re talking tablets with a detachable keyboard here, as opposed to laptops with 360-degree hinges.
In our full review, we praised its performance and versatility, both of which hold up extremely well in 2021. The latest Intel chips provide only minor performance gains, so the Pro 7 is still well future-proofed.
Of course, there’s a big reason why we’re seeing so many Surface Pro 7 discounts right now. The Surface Pro 8 is likely to be one of the devices announced at Microsoft’s 22 September event.
However, aside from new processors and a slightly larger display, the Pro 8 is expected to be similar predecessor. The long-awaited redesign isn’t expected until 2022 at the earliest, and you’ll probably still have to buy the Type Cover separately.
With that in mind, buying the Surface Pro 7 now could be a great way to save some extra cash. Visit the Amazon website to get 20% off all models.
