Oppo has pulled back the covers on its latest range of phones, announcing the Reno 7, 7 Pro and 7 SE at its special event in China on 25 November 2021. Here’s all you need to know about what’s going down in Reno.
When will the Oppo Reno 7 be released?
Oppo made the Reno 7 range available to Chinese customers on 3 December 2021, but there’s no official word on when it will appear in other territories.
Some rumours we’ve seen suggest it may appear in India quite soon but as the Oppo Reno 6 range has only recently made its way to select parts of Europe – arriving in September 2021 – it could be some time before we get our hands on a Reno 7 device.
It’s also unlikely that they will ever be made available in North America, due to the company not having any deals in place with mobile carriers in the US, at present.
How much will the Oppo Reno 7 cost?
There’s no word on global pricing at the time of writing, but we do now have the details of how much Chinese customers are being expected to pay. Across the various models and configurations, here’s how they line up:
- Reno 7 SE 8GB/128GB – CNY 2,199 (approx. £259/€305/$345)
- Reno 7 SE 8GB/256GB – CNY 2,399 (approx. £282/€332/$377)
- Reno 7 8GB/128GB – CNY 2,699 (approx. £318/€374/$424)
- Reno 7 8GB/256GB – CNY 2,999 (approx. £353/€415/$470)
- Reno 7 12GB/256GB – CNY 3,299 (approx. £388/€457/$518)
- Reno 7 Pro 8GB/256GB – CNY 3,699 (approx. £435/€512/$580)
- Reno 7 Pro 12GB/256GB – CNY 3,999 (approx. £470/€554/$628)
Of course, regional taxes, shipping and customs charges could well bolster these prices outside of China, but the above listing gives you a ballpark figure.
What features are in the new Oppo Reno 7?
The Reno 7 range features three different models: the Reno 7, Reno 7 SE and Reno 7 Pro. The SE is the cheapest of the bunch but shares many features with both the standard Reno 7 and the top-tier Reno 7 Pro.
All support 5G, have triple rear camera arrays, under-display fingerprint sensors and 4500mAh batteries, with fast-charging support (although with different speeds). The SE misses out on a few things though – such as Wi-Fi 6, and features lower camera specs than its siblings. All three models are quite similar though, as you can see from the technical specifications below:
