Samsung launched its latest premium foldable phones the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 at its 11 August Galaxy Unpacked event.
Both the Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 are available to pre-order now, ahead of their 27 August release. Samsung’s offering a variety of pre-order perks to sweeten the pot (all of which we’ll detail below).

While the top-end Galaxy Z Fold 3 boasts a starting price that exceeds £1,500, the smaller Z Flip 3 starts at just under £1,000. Despite a lower price point, the Flip 3 still offers some of the Fold’s most coveted productivity features including S Pen support.
The Z Flip 3 also offers the Z Fold 3’s dual-screen ‘Flex Mode’ for multitasking while the phone is folded. You can, for instance, use the top half of the screen for video calls while preserving the bottom half for brightness and volume controls.
The Z Flip 3 works seamlessly with the new Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic too (here’s where to pre-order those). The Watch 4 smartwatches launched alongside the foldables with the Galaxy Buds 2. Flip 3 owners can coordinate the Cover Screen wallpaper with the Watch 4, bringing to the fore the One UI Watch features Samsung previewed at its MWC 2021 event in June.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 pre-order deals – £250 trade-in bonus, $150 instant credit, free S Pen & more
Z Flip 3 pre-orders benefit from enhanced trade-in, similar to the promotion Samsung launched in the US last month. With an eligible phone, UK customers can claim an additional £250 on top of the standard trade-in rate towards a new Galaxy Z Flip 3 (or Z Fold 3).
US customers get an enhanced trade-in too with pre-orders via Samsung, including a $100 trade-in bonus and a $150 instant credit when buying the 256GB Flip 3 (with $50 applied to the phone and $100 towards accessories). Trade-ins can save you up to $600.
UK and US customers both get a year of Samsung Care+ with Z Flip 3 pre-orders too. Care+ is Samsung’s premium device protection service that covers water and accidental damage as well as back cover and replacements.
Customers can also get a free Galaxy Note Pack (worth £79.99) which includes a Flip Case, S Pen and 25W Fast Charger. You can also access Samsung Boost for free, which is a collection of premium apps worth over £250. Just be sure to claim within 30 days of purchase.

The pre-orders (or pre-reserve) process varies slightly in India where customers can pre-pay ₹2000 towards a ‘Next Galaxy VIP Pass’ which includes a free Galaxy SmartTag. Samsung will then email instructions on how to pay off the rest of the phone as well as additional pre-order offers.
How much does the Galaxy Z Flip 3 cost (in UK/US/India)?
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 starts at £949/US$999 for 8GB RAM/128GB storage, though for £50/$50 more you can pick up 8GB RAM/256GB storage (£999/US$1049).
In India prices convert to roughly ₹74,239 (8GB/128GB) and ₹77,947 (8GB/256GB).
The phones are available in Cream, Lavender, Green, and Phantom Black, though exclusive Grey, White, and Light Pink options are also available online only at the Samsung Store.
