The sound was cutting out regularly but it depended on where the jack was fitted into the phone or MPS. I've Changed the jack and there is still no sound. I think I need to replace the jack properly. It's a Boss in ear headphone but I'm not worried if you fit a BOSS jack is used or not, as long as it works.

As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
