  • Cable became faulty, no sound, microphone not connected either, and device not registered as being connected on computer. The volume/mic control still registers power going to the phones shown by the light so its not a complete connection break.

    The exact position of the fault is difficult to determine as bending/pinching the wire in several different places above and below the sound control would fix the issue, but only temporarily. Headphones are connected via usb -have already tried different usb ports to see if the fault is there and not the phones but the results are the same.
