i believe whats causing the problems is the section on the wire which has the buttons which allow you to turn down or turn up audio and mute the mic in ignorance i decided that it is probably something super obvious that is causing the issue and decided to take the section apart myself (with less than surgical precision) and found that one wire white in colour wasnt connected after attempting to join the wires nothing was working so i gave up wrapped it in tape as the plastic no longer fitted together properly. Could this be something you can fix
p.s when i connect the headphones to my pc it will either say that the usb device isnt recognised or the audio will suddenly spike to full volume despite when i check the volume on my pc it is still super low.

As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
