Thick braided Cable ends in a screw off 3.5 mm audio jack. Sound was on and off. I screwed it off and was a loose connection for sound. Messed around with it and the black lead came off its solder point. The red one is intact. Please could you fix back onto it and test if ok.

EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
