I am unable to charge the headphones as the charging cable does not stay in the charging socket (Micro USB) on the headphones, as the socket is damaged. It looks like the metal bit inside the socket has fallen down inside. I have tested it with other Micro USB cables to make sure it wasn't just a problem with my original cable, but I get the same problem with all Micro USB cables.

As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
