One cable is broken (within the outer sheath) in a difficult place to fix, just as it leaves the control box (that controls volume, and turns noise cancellation on and off).
One earpiece works fine, the broken one doesn't play any music.
I know where the break is, as it broke gradually, first it played intermittently, then stopped playing when the cable broke.

As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
