Have had the sound dock for about six years. Live in St lucia in the Caribbean and believe that the humid atmosphere has corroded the connector to the ipod which makes the connection intermittent and it often loses contact with the ipod and needs jiggling to reconnect. I suspect the flip out dock might need a thorough going over to remove corrosion or maybe replacement? Occasionally there is also a problem with the volume control as sometimes when you touch or move the sound dock the system mutes or vol decreases significantly. A general overhaul would probably not be amiss price dependent.
I am in London for a few days this coming week and then up to Norwich for a few days before leaving UK on Sept 3rd. Can you fix it in that time frame? What would it approximately cost to do so?
