Bought new about a year ago in the US and it always worked flawlessly.
Recently brought it over from the US.
Connected it through a good quality 220–110 transformer.
The unit switches on as usual, runs through its short "please wait" cycle and comes on. The radio will then work fine for anywhere between 5 and 30 mins before the unit simply switches off. (It doesn't "go to sleep" or go to standby. It goes completely off such that the remote no longer works.) The only solution is to unplug and start again.
Although the radio works as above, the CD player does not. If I try to play a CD the unit goes off (as above() immediately.
There is no apparent external damage.
