Hello,
I have had my Bose Wave Music System for years now, and I absolutely love it. Sadly the CD player keeps skipping, and this seems to be getting worse. It isn't limited to any particular CD, it seems to happen to any CD. I've noticed that once it's done it at the beginning of the track it gradually stops and the CD appears to play as normal. But it is spoiling my music experience.
I have tried using a CD cleaner (a CD that you "play" which seems to clean it). This helps for a very short time before it starts skipping again, and I'm having to do this virtually every time I want to listen to a CD now.
Is there anything that can be done to "save" my Bose system?
I'd appreciate your feedback and guidance as to whether this is something you've managed to repair before and approximately what this could cost.
