Hi guys,
Have a canton tv plinth, has a very simple amp in back, about 3" x 1", simple layout etc. But I'm just no good with a multimeter and don't want to risk fannying around on there and potentially doing more damage. Very familiar with Aberaeron (was a student in Aber, used to do 4am road trips to hang in the harbour, nice!) so happy to fetch it over, Has intermittent fault, works fine, then loud screeching/popping on and off. Pretty sure just something loose. If you could give me a rough price, if it's cool I also have a Smok Alien 220w with the disconnected pin fault you could drop a blob of solder on for me :D. Also happy to do cash if that greases the wheels 😉

As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
