    I have a DENON DBP-4010UD player that needs repair. It has always been fine with every DVD but displays 'No Disc with about 50% of Blu-ray discs. Some 20th-century Fox discs flag an update requirement, but I think this is beyond the last firmware update, and the unit had all the available updates installed. Some discs will load occasionally. The small clasp holding one of the ribbon connectors broke, so it can't be held firmly in place, but this could be fixed with a new clasp that snaps closed. This happened when I tried to remove the laser cover to clean the laser as I was frustrated at the random nature of how it was rejecting discs. This machine is used for multichannel SACD and DVD-A via DenonLink 3 and 4 using a Denon AVR-4810 the quality of which easily surpasses HDMI. This is why I hope it can be repaired,
