I recently acquired my mates Denon DNX1500 mixer its a fairly old bit of kit but still good condition externally. There is a problem with it where there is a slight wooshing/drone noise that comes through when any of the volume faders are turned up. It doesnt really change volume with the fader, once the fader is up even slightly it is there. It is definitely not a ground loop, doesn't sound anything like that. I have tried switching power source and moving cable away from other cables or electronics, neither worked. I have tried turning gain down but it is there even at no gain. I have moved my turntables away from it, no luck. It is definitely not a cable problem as it comes through the headphones too.
