The amp powers up but when speakers are connected they sound like they have blown which is not the case (there is a lot of crackling and distortion – the speaker channels may need replacing). When I flick my fingernail on the volume knob, I get to hear every now and again the clarity of how it should sound, so I am pretty much baffled.
My cousin who is a sound engineer suggests that it could do with a good cleanout with contact cleaner and Isopropyl which I am not prepared to do myself and have not got time at the moment to travel to London for it to be looked at. Hence me reaching out to companies and individuals locally.
