    Hello,
    I have a pair of RP6 G2 KRK speakers, one of which is suffering from corrosion on components on the circuit board inside. This seems to be a common fault on the G2 models caused by a black potting compound used to reduce vibrations which turned hydrophilic or hygroscopic over time, so I assume the other speaker will also need attention (not yet inspected & showing no problems).

    The symptoms are reduced volume output and a distortion on frequencies from 40 – 100hz.  

    From what I can see, at least one resistor is corroded & would need to be replaced and soldered. Capacitors seems to be okay from quick inspection but could also need replacing.

    I'd be grateful for a quote please for the single speaker and also as a pair. It's possible this is not an economically viable repair, as these are fairly budget model by monitor standards, but I like the sound and know the character inside out.
