The issue may be with the tracking and focus portions. also needs an overall check of caps and condition as i don't have the experience to do that. i don't expect that the issue is with laser diode or pickup age but in case it is the laser pickup is a Toshiba OPH-31 and if required i can provide replacement or equivalent compatible pickup OPH-32
