I have an Onkyo TX-NR1007 from around 2012. It is connected via HDMI and optical cable to a very modern Samsung TV via the one connect block.
The Onkyo has stopped working. It still powers up OK when the TV is switched on, the display comes on but there is no secondary “click” about 2 seconds later that used to immediately precede the sound coming on.
I’ve fiddled about with it for some time with no joy. It still sends its menus to the TV so I assume the HDMI is working. I’ve also tried analogue sources (CD player) – still no sound.
