The Sub is working OK when connected to a music source such as home cinema. When the Home cinema /Receiver that is is connected to is switched there is a slight crackling noise from the driver and ocasionally in makes a loud thud. The crackling noise is similar to what I would expect with an old potentiometer but doesnt seem to be related to that. The crackling is present even when inputs are dis-connected (all cables apart from mains cable disconnected) so the problem is contained within this unit. Adjusting earthing arrangements makes no difference. Unit is about 16 years old I think. Bought new by me.
