Came back from holidays, Went to put a film on an my sub didn't power on. Fuse blown. replaced but also immediately blew. I removed the plate amp and oh boy. Every electrolytic cap had dumped its electrolyte all over the pcb. I cleaned the pcb. I've replaced all of the capacitors and many blown mosfets and bjts. The rectifier diode pack had also failed and been replaced. It no longer blows fuses. No bad component smells, but other than that, no activity at all. I'm going to start looking for other dead components, though there are only passives left and an opamp. It's been a long time since I studied electronics engineering though, mostly in the IT side now, with some arduino. Not really game to probe live AC circuits these days. Wondered if it was worth sending for repair.

Was greeted by a very pleasant and extremely helpful member of staff. He explained what they would do, what I would need to do and if I wanted to go ahead with the repair I could pay in person as he was aware of my computer situation.
On collection I was greeted by Norbert the very pleasant staff member again who handed me the headphones in a protective case. I was absolutely overjoyed. I thought they were beyond being fixed. How wrong could I be. They're definitely as good as new. -

I broke my Bose headphones trying to fit new ear cushions which proved impossible for me to fit. I found Electronic Partners … read more details online and contacted them. They paid for the postage of my headphones to them, assessed the damage and gave me a very reasonable quote to repair them. They fixed the damage and also fitted the ear cushions for me, then returned the headphones in perfect working order. They even offered me a one year warranty for their work which I took out for £10.
All in all a very professional and helpful service and gave me my much loved headphones back with new ear cushions and working perfectly. So much cheaper than buying a new pair. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
