I inadvertently went and tried to stick a a Shark charger into the mains power port.
It didn't fit, as they were different sizes, but I heard a click and the radio shut off. So it must have been enough contact to damage something inside.
The Shark charger output details are: 28.8v, 0.8a and 23.0W
