- I bought my grandfather a Roberts Revival RD60 which he was running on batteries. When they ran out, he attempted to use the mains adapter but mistakenly plugged in one for a different device. This resulted in a small internal explosion and a burning smell. I believe the wrong current/voltage was applied, and now the radio does not turn on. I don't know the technical terms, I think it may be the power board; the small board inside the box attached to the back of the door. I'm hoping that it is just this that has been burnt out and it has not spread to the rest of the radio. I have been unable to source this part. Is it something that you stock? I believe if I change this then I would have a working radio again. Do you think there may have been anything else that was affected? I can buy another used working Revival RD60 and take the part out of that one, but this seems slightly counterintuitive as I would still end up with a radio that doesn't work. Do you sell the power board on its own? How much does it cost? Are there likely to be any other faults that I may have missed?
