The volume bar on my NWZ-S765 has suddenly disappeared and I can get no sound out. The problem is not related to HOLD, AVLS, phones, etc, as all have been tested. I have performed a soft reset from the menus and a hard reset with a paper clip. I have upgraded firmware and have also entered test mode and determined that the unit is capable of producing all required test sounds – but upon reverting to normal mode, the volume bar is still missing and the unit remains silent.

As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
