I have a vintage turntable (Sony PS-X6,1978) which has some speed issues which previous owners of this machine say are due to aging electrolytics and dirty trim pots and switches. Basically the turntable works but once in a while (particularly when left on for longer) the speed starts going faster and to fluctuate – and recovers usually after turning it off and on again
What would the price be and how long do you expect the repair process to take (roughly) given that there are about 17 electrolytics to replace on the circuit board plus one tantalum, there are a number of trim pots (5, I think) that need either cleaning or replacement, two switches to clean, and the power cable needs to be replaced (I'll provide the replacement).
The helpful thing is that I have a service manual for this vintage machine.
