We have had a Sony STR-D511 amp working well with our Rega Planar 1 for some time. We went away, turned it off at the wall and when we returned a month later we can’t get the amp to turn on at all. It’s really odd as it was absolutely fine before we left!Some online research suggests it may be something to do with the turning it off at the wall and now it’s in in some kind of off state. Frustratingly, we have bought an identical second one from eBay which has the exact same problem. Which is either a huge coincidence or it’s a common problem.
