I have a Technics system which is damaged and needs some service / repair. The system consists of:
Stereo Tuner / Amplifier SA-DV170, which is fully working
Stereo Sound Processor SH-DV170, which is fully working
Stereo Cassette Deck RS-DV170, which appears to be fully working but may benefit from a service
DVD/Video CD/ CD Changers (5 DVD Changer) SL-DV170, which powers up, opens, but will not play or change – needs checking to see if it is possible to repair and service.
5 Speaker Super Surround Sound Triple wire (to the 2 larger speakers) system, which is fully working
Remote Control RAK-EHA32WH, which is fully working
The system is in very good conditions with hardly a mark to be seen, it is a superb system, plays and sounds great so I am loath to abandon it if it can be fixed. The system was damaged when it was knocked off an unstable cabinet. This clearly affected the DVD/CD unit, a few plastic pieces broke off on the back, and I suppose the connecting wires (flat tape type wiring) may have been damaged although there is no evidence that anything other than the DVD/CD unit is not working as it should.
