made a cracking noise when powering up after not being used for a few weeks now one channel is stuck in protect. believe it could have been a dust or moisture issue? screen showed a voltage surge on startup and there was a disturbing popping noise from the amp. realised after channel one was gained up slightly as well but havent known that to damage amps if theres no signal being fed to it

The requested repair was also carried out efficiently, and I am very pleased with the result. I have dropped one star in my review because the repair included replacing a red/green LED, and the red LED is so bright that the surrounding fabric is also illuminated, whereas the green LED is quite dim and can only be seen from certain angles. I guess that EP found it difficult to procure the original LED component which is undoubtedly a B&W special.

I thought my cherised 1970's Hitachi Music Centre was beyond repair until I found on Google Electronic Partners in Telford. … read more They restored it completely and replaced the woofer in both speakers, I couldn't have been more delighted. They kept me informed throughout advising me of part's required and costs which I paid as and when needed which was far better then being presented with a large bill at the end.
