    The cassette deck has several issues:

    Erase function is not working
    Source/monitor levels are mismatched (source is significantly louder)
    Tape type detection is unreliable and often defaults to Type II. In addition, the record-protect notch lever fails intermittently, often preventing recording
    Unsure whether the bias calibration (via the built-in bias test setting) is functioning correctly (I think this is linked to the erase head issue and solving that would fix this but not 100%)

    The deck was sold to me as fully working and tested, but clearly requires attention. My aim is to have it fully tested, repaired, calibrated, and restored to factory specification. If somebody can do this, please get in contact.
