The visual turns either white or black or with various lines and has to be force shut. Sometimes after restarting it will work for a while but will go back to lines soon. It might be related to heat as it heats up a lot at times and also it might have either loose parts as it was dropped once. It might be something to do with graphics card or several things together.

As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
