The laptop won't turn on.
I know the charger works because the light that is on the wire works.
The screen just stays black.
One thing that does work though is the button that detaches the screen from the keyboard.
But the screen stills stays black/blank.
I have tried doing some recommendations online of how to turn on – combinations of pressing buttons etc.

As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
