This has developed the common screen flicker issue due to having a Samsung display (fitted to some SP4's). Are looking for a quote to replace screen with the newer (LG I think) type found on some SP4's and SP5's, apparently this is possible with an additional readily available connector. We don't want a Samsung back in there as it may develop the fault again.

As the DVD player sound surround system was around 20yrs old I was surprised that Electronic Partners were able to undertake a repair and give us many more years service of our system meaning no wastage of all the other perfectly good parts such as the speakers. EP also met my need in delaying the return postage until a time that I was able to be at home to receive the DVD player.
