    I am having issues with both my screen and a small capacitor which is missing on the board. I have attached an image of the broken capacitor. There are no scorch markings so I think I knocked it off. The device has not been powered on since I discovered this.

    Another issue I am having is the screen. I have tried many exact model replacements from various ebay sellers but they all have the same result: Flickering green and magenta hyphens in the top left of the screen. I do not have a picture at hand for this unfortunately and do not want to risk powering the laptop on without that capacitor through fear of causing damage to more critical components.
