The console will turn on and say it's checking storage status. It gets to about 62%, jumps straight to 100% and then shows a screen saying "Cannot start PS4, Connect DualShock 4 via USB and press PS Button"
Unfortunately the Controller is unresponsive and the only way to turn the console off now is to unplug it.
After doing that and turning it back on,the screen will then show "SAFE MODE, Please connect Dual shock 4 via USB and press PS Button"
The same occurs where the controller does nothing. I borrowed another controller and USB cable from my neighbour but none of them make any difference either.
My pad however will work fine on his console.I have had multiple chats with the Sony help team and every resolve involves accessing the Safe Mode menu which my controller won't let me access.
This then led to the Sony help saying the console would need sending to them for repair.If I leave the console unplugged for around 20 mins, it will then boot up again as checking system storage however the same loop occurs over and over.
My 1st thought is the USB ports but I can turn the PS4 on via the controller when it's connected via USB. It is just unresponsive after.
