Looks like my speed control is running slow side during playback also fresh recording same issue . Do you think is faulty Sony IC CX 20084 Chip. I also did mistake plug in wrong polarity reverse but I use 5v usb power adapter . The Fast forward and reverse no problem and also auto stop function end off tape does not work. The main belt needs replacement I order new belt just waiting to arrive .
