      • I bought by me for my wife in 2013. She uses it, mostly, for catch-up TV and web-browsing.

        At turn-on the screen displays either:

        a constantly changing, apparently random, finely detailed multi-colour image
        OR
        a perfectly clear "ODIN" mode screen display.

        N.B. I can send screen shots of both if required.

        Beforehand, the unit worked perfectly. I should also add that no attempt to upgrade the OS or any other form of flashing the system has been intentionally made.

        We can, by manipulating the volume button – sometimes – go between the two screen modes but this is not always possible and is usually tedious.

        The Samsung Shop in Leeds said it was almost certainly a hardware fault.

        I am, by the way, retired electrical and electronics design engineer and have also worked as a Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) at Electronics Yorkshire recently renamed The Electronics Group. IPC produce and certify courses in all aspects of the manufacture and repair of electronic assemblies.

        I don't know if you have experience of this fault but, if you are, I should be grateful for a quote for repair.

The damage to be repaired ie a crazed screen was correctly described so the cost of the part and time element would have been available before quoting. They fixed the damage and also fitted the ear cushions for me, then returned the headphones in perfect working order. They even offered me a one year warranty for their work which I took out for £10.
      All in all a very professional and helpful service and gave me my much loved headphones back with new ear cushions and working perfectly. So much cheaper than buying a new pair. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
