I have two Xbox Wireless Controllers where the 3.5mm jack isn't working. The mic symbol on the screen doesn't change when a headset is plugged in.
I have bought a replacement and everything is OK.
However, both sets were a few weeks out of the one year warranty and the retailer will not replace unless I get an independent fault report which proves the problem was there from purchase.
It is clear from speaking to others that this is a common fault. The kids friends have replaced two sets recently. We have two sets. Our local CEX shop says they see alot too.
If I send you mine to repair, I was hoping that you could draft a report (for a fee) to confirm the problem is inherent and not caused through misuse etc.
