I’m based in Amersham (Buckinghamshire) and I have a Bose L1 Compact (around 10 years old) that has developed an intermittent fault.
The symptoms are:
• The bass and low‑mid frequencies intermittently drop out while the high frequencies from the tower remain audible.
• The issue occurs at normal gig volumes, not just when driven hard.
• I’ve tested with different sources and known‑good cables, and the problem appears to be within the L1 Compact itself rather than upstream.
• Gently moving or wiggling cables does not always reproduce the fault, so I suspect an internal amp/power or connection issue.
